Dozens pro-azerbaijan media outlets claim that it’s been known that Pashinyan’s organisations are funded by the Soros Foundation. And their participation in the ‘elections’ in Nagorno-Karabakh means that Soros decided through his Armenian proteges to influence the future of the region.

At the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Prime Minister of Macedonia, Zoran Zaev met with philanthropist and financier George Soros, founder of the Open Society Foundations (FOI) and Patrick Gaspard, president of the FOI, the government said.

Interesting fact that recently Ilham Aliyev, president of Azerbaijan, also pointed out Pashinyan’s connection with Soros having no real evidence to these words. 

“Azerbaijan is also fighting with Soros in the region. With Soros too. In fact, as I said earlier, when I talk about Soros, I mean not only George Soros. This is a concept. This movement is destructive and predatory.”

In a news article of Hürriyet newspaper dated January 24, 2003, it was reported that the Turkish politicians such as the then Prime Minister Abdullah Gül, the leader of AK Party Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the then Minister of State Ali Babacan and the then Minister of Finance Kemal Unakıtan attended the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, Davos.
